1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Lumo Travel mobile application ("the App").

  • you have read and understood these Terms
  • you agree to comply with them in full
  • you use the App voluntarily and at your own risk

If you do not agree with any provisions of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the data controller is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Description of Service and Legal Status

Lumo Travel is a software tool for personal record-keeping and organization of travel information, intended for independent use by the user.

The App allows, among other things:

  • to keep records of trips and periods of stay
  • to store user information and documents
  • to receive automatic notifications based on entered data
  • to generate user reports
  • to synchronize data between devices (if the feature is enabled by the user)

IMPORTANT:

  • Lumo Travel is NOT a legal, immigration, tax, or visa service
  • Lumo Travel does NOT provide consultations, recommendations, or legal opinions
  • Lumo Travel does NOT guarantee compliance with the laws of any country

All information in the App is for informational and auxiliary purposes only.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You can use the App in guest mode. To enable cloud sync and account recovery, you may create an account and:

  • provide a valid email address
  • be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age established by the laws of your jurisdiction)
  • provide accurate and current information

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are fully responsible for:

  • the security of your account credentials
  • all actions taken under your account
  • compliance with applicable laws

Creating more than one account by a single user or transferring an account to third parties is prohibited.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or security risks.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

4.1 General Provisions

  • We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
  • Data processing is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.

4.2 Data Access

In the course of operation, support, and security of the App, we may have technical access to user data, including but not limited to:

  • profile data
  • travel information
  • files and documents uploaded by the user
  • technical and diagnostic data

Data access is limited, controlled, and used solely for lawful and operational purposes.

4.3 Encryption

  • Sensitive user data and uploaded documents are encrypted prior to storage and protected at rest using industry-standard authenticated symmetric encryption mechanisms.
  • All communication between the App and our servers is secured using HTTPS with TLS encryption.
  • Encryption keys are stored within secured infrastructure with restricted access controls.

While we implement robust technical safeguards, no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. User Responsibilities and Disclaimers

5.1 The user is independently and fully responsible for:

  • compliance with visa, immigration, and border requirements
  • accuracy of entered dates and data
  • compliance with tax laws
  • verification of applicable stay rules
  • obtaining professional consultations when necessary

5.2 We are not responsible for:

  • entry denials, visas, or permits
  • exceeding stay periods
  • fines, sanctions, deportations, or other legal consequences
  • errors arising from incorrect or incomplete user data
  • data loss due to loss of account access

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Paid Features

Some App features are available only with an active subscription.

  • subscriptions are processed through the respective app store
  • prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region
  • payment terms are governed by the rules of the respective platform

6.2 Auto-Renewal

  • subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • charges are processed through the user's app store account
  • users independently manage subscriptions and cancellations
  • Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription

6.3 Free Trial Period

  • New users receive a 14-day free trial starting from the first activation of the App on a device
  • No subscription fee is charged during the trial period unless the user subscribes before the trial ends; after it ends, some features may be limited until you subscribe
  • Paid subscriptions are processed through the App Store and can be canceled anytime in your Apple ID settings

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the App, including source code, design, interface, trademarks, and materials, belong to the Lumo Travel rights holder.

The user is granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license for personal use of the App.

8. Warranty Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".

We do not guarantee:

  • accuracy or currency of information
  • uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • the App's compliance with the user's specific purposes

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • total liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for the subscription in the last 12 months, except in cases of fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited under applicable law
  • no provisions exclude liability that cannot be limited by law

10. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
  • The updated version takes effect upon publication. Continued use of the App constitutes agreement to the changes.

11. Termination of Use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App in case of violation of these Terms or legal requirements.

13. Final Acknowledgment

By using Lumo Travel, you acknowledge that:

  • the App is a record-keeping tool, not a legal service
  • all decisions are made by you independently
  • all responsibility for compliance with laws rests with you
